Sishapangma is the 14th 8000m mountain lying in Tibet and was popularized after Chinese opened Tibet to the western summiteers in 1978 A.D. The Tibetans regard it as the holy mountain. The North West Ridge (normal route) to Sishapangma takes us up easy angled snow slopes up to 35 degrees with one steeper section. The supporter climber (SHERPA) will fix and placed necessary fixed rope on the steeper or crevassed sections. The climbers have to enter in Nepal then drive to BC via Zhangmu. And the Yaks transport our expedition gear from Base camp to ABC at 5,400m. Three further camps will be place on-route to the summit.

Facts:

Altitude: 8013 m, 26,335 feet
Position :14th highest mountain
First ascent: May 2, 1964 by ten climbers led by Hsu Ching
Expedition: China
Summits/Deaths: 302/25

Death Rate after summit:  8.28%
Facts: It is considered as one of the easiest and non-technical climb. Most of the climbers go to central summit (false summit). The final part to the main summit (true summit) is scary and sometimes dangerous because of walk on a knife edge ridge. So very few go to main summit.
